AGTA 2015 Conference workshop abstract
Presenter: Susan Caldis
Workshop title: The value of a stakeholder: AGTA, ACARA, Australian Curriculum: Geography
Workshop abstract: Throughout the ACARA led curriculum development process around the Australian Curriculum: Geography, AGTA remained a prominent and valuable stakeholder - but this raised questions such as Why?, How?, and To what effect?. With reference to the literature and a mixed-methods case study involving AGTA Board members, answers to these questions were revealed. From this research, not only is an understanding and appreciation about the role of AGTA as an educational stakeholder obtained, but also an appreciation about the difference individuals and organisations can make as an active participant in a bureaucratic process. This workshop is developed from a case-study research project I completed as part of a Master of Educational Research course.
All conference registrations and payments are being handled by Group Events.
