AGTA 2015 Conference workshop abstract
Presenter: Susan Bentley
Workshop title: Pathways to ensuring the 'Right to Food'
Workshop abstract: With current global projections suggesting the world population will grow to 9.2 billion by 2050, now is a critical time to re-evaluate the global approach to food production and distribution. This session will explore innovative food security solutions which alleviate poverty, embrace the development and delivery of new technologies and adopt a people-centred approach to sustainable agricultural systems. Development programs which support capacity building and strengthen the economic development of vulnerable communities in Nepal and Fiji will be showcased. This workshop specifically meets the requirements of the 7-10 Australian Geography Curriculum and the senior Queensland Geography syllabus. Teaching resources, which will enhance the delivery of the P-12 Geography curriculum will be shared during the workshop.
All conference registrations and payments are being handled by Group Events.
