Fieldwork

As at AGTA 2011 a key component of the conference will be two days of fieldwork.  Each fieldtrip will be offered twice  and run according to numbers. 

We would encourage all ‘Eastern States’ delegates in particular to select the Rottnest Island field trip as on of their selections.

Proposed Fieldtrips include:

Rottnest Island – History, GIS, coastlines, tourism and sustainability.
Perth Walking Tour – Development, heritage and sustainability.
Mandurah and Beyond – Bauxite, canals, climate change and crabs.
Indigenous Perspectives and the Jarrah Forest – hands on Indigenous culture and forest hike/tour.
Perth Amazing Race – Orientation, GPS, GIS, mystery destinations and a follow up workshop.

All field trips will include a pub, café or restaurant lunch stop and resources related to the activities.
Led by an experienced Geography teacher and guest presenters.
