Field trips

AGTA 08 has a range of proposed field trips to suit all tastes.

All trips will start from Rydges at 8.00am and return there around 4.30pm. All trips are included in the Conference package. Meals are not included in these trips.

Join local Brisbane Geography teachers in a tour which includes the almost complete Kelvin Grove Urban Village, the about-to-be developed Hamilton Northshore and the developing Port of Brisbane.

Want to be introduced to the latest geographical craze of geocaching.  Want to use a GPS in the field then this is for you. Can’t tell you where it is going. That would spoil it. Besides even we don’t know!

Fraser Island

Protecting Cooloola

Didn’t get enough of sand on Fraser Island; join this run through the Cooloola National Park with one of the geography teachers closely involved in the exercise which resulted in the closing of this area to sand mining and the opening of it to tourism!
